SOL-Stone-of-Life-EX-Best-ClassThe S.O.L Stone of Life EX Best Class will be determined more by your play style, though some are better in unexpected areas. Each class is heavily geared towards a certain play style. Using none class specific weapons can result in penalties like no MP recover or no Power Attack. Below is a list of all skills and magic/spells.

Equipment – Each class can use all equipment and weapons, so a Arch Mage can wear the best armor and duel wield. This makes trading equipment between saves good for giving new players a head start. Equipping weapons not specific to your class can have damaging effects like no MP recovery or no Power Attack.

Skills/Magic – All classes have access to the same skills/magic except S.Skills which are unique. 1 point gained per level.

Action Style – These will change your normal attack action. You can switch between each one freely after it’s unlocked. You must be a high enough level and have the required amount of Dungeon Challenge stars to unlock.

Power Attack – Charges differently for each class and you can see the meter at the bottom of the screen filling up. These are unlocked with your Action Style’s so to unlock new ones you’ll have to increase your level and get stars in dungeons.

Training Skills – The first 2 tabs vary between classes while the resistance and power attack tabs are the same for all. Located in the statues area on the S.Skill tab. Use Style points from leveling up to increase strength (2 per level).

S.Skills – These are class specific with each having 2 skills to learn. Located

Dual Blade

Has the highest DPS for basic attacks. Best for melee attacks and single targets though later Action Styles are gear towards groups.

Pros

Has the fastest melee attacks and the highest possible weapon attack from dual wielding.

Attack with multiple element types, one on each dagger.

More slots for experience boosting runes.

Daggers give you faster movement speed than all other weapons.

Cons

Small attack reach making barrels more tedious to break and enemies harder to reach. Later action styles can gear you more towards group fighting.

Action Style

Dual Blade – A basic Action Style of Dual Blade consisting of 3 attacks.
Assassin (Req *23 & LV25) – Better suited for 1 on 1 battles delivering greater damage..
Sword Dancer (Req *90 & LV70) – Ideal for fight multiple foes at once.
Blade Master (Req *150 & LV150) – Fast attack with strong knock back suited for groups.

Power Attack

Charge with combo attacks.

Step 1 – Shoot strong exploding sword powers in 8 directions.
Step 2 – Powerful attack that throws 3 flying vacuum swords.
Step 3 – Can throw multiple swords.
Step 4 – Flying swords with knock back for surrounding opponents.

Training Skills

Dagger Dagger 7%-70% Raises strength when using daggers.
Sharpening Sharpening 1%-10% Increases critical rate.
Combo Attack Combo Attack 1%-10% Achieve 10 combos and 30% of HP will recover at a certain rate.
Blow of Anger Blow of Anger 3%-30% Critical rate goes up when HP drops below 40%

Life Time Life Time 6%-60% Max HP up.
Recharge Recharge 1%-10% Amount of MP recovery up.
Rapid Avoidance Rapid Avoidance 3%-30% Dodge rate up. When maxed out makes your S.Skill Quick Movement passive since 30% Dodge Rate is the max.
Recovery Recovery 3%-30% Amount of MP recovery up.

S.Skill

Blow of Assassination Blow of Assassination 30,000g** 55/7%/16s-118/70%/65s Increases critical damage for a certain time period.
Quick Movement Quick Movement 30,000g*** 55/12%/16s-118/30%/65s Increases your Dodge Rate for a limited time. Becomes obsolete once you upgrade Rapid Avoidance fully as the max Dodge Rate is 30%.

Knight

Good for casting as Remind reduces spell cost and has more defense than others because of shield. Can also do good with melee if your defense and resistances are high. Has the highest survivability.

Action Style

Knight – A basic Action Style of Knight.
Defender (Req *23 & LV25) – Normal attacks become a consistent action with out a break or pause. This let’s you pin certain enemies in corners with normal attacks for easy kills.
Elemental Knight (Req *90 & LV70) – Push away surrounding enemies and move forward to the heart of the crowd and deliver big knock back and damage.
Holy Knight (Req *150 & LV150) – Move close in 1 dash and then attack twice with huge damage.

Power Attack

Charges when you take damage.

Step 1 – Attack 3 times surrounding enemies with whirl wind action.
Step 2 – Strong Sword explodes 3 times hurting foes in front of you.
Step 3 – Sword powers in 3 directions knocking back opponents.
Step 4 – Slide into opponents delivering damage.

Training Skills

1H Weapons 1H Weapon 2%-20% Raises strength when using 1-handed weapons.
Sharpening Sharpening 1%-10% Increases critical rate.
Sword Sword 3%-30% Damage up when using single-handed swords.
Mace Mace 3%-30% Damage up when using maces.
War Axe War Axe 3%-30% Damage up when using war axes.

Armor Armor 5%-50% Physical defense up. Says it increases physical defense by a % when it’s actually just the number, +5%=+5 Armor.
Armoring Armoring 5%-50% Defense goes up when HP drops below 40%
Remind Remind 3%-30% Use less MP when casting skills. Very important for increasing your DPS.
Blocking Blocking 2%-20% Increase Block Rate% which is capped at 30%. Use this and and shield buffs to make your Preparation for Defense S.Skill passive.

S.Skill

Preparation for Attack Preparation for Attack 30,000** 55/55%/16s-118/100%/65s Increases attack power at the expense of defense.

Preparation for Defense Preparation for Defense 30,000*** 55/12%/16s-118/30%/65s Increases block chance for a certain period of time. Becomes passive when Blocking Training and shield buffs reach the maximum of 30%.

Berserker

For melee and great for fighting groups as two-handed weapons have the longest reach. Slowest movement speed of all class when equipped with a two-handed weapon.

Action Style

Berserker – A basic Action Style of Berserker.
Crasher (Req *23 & LV25) – Slow but powerful attack that delivers huge knock back and big damage to foes in front of you.
Gladiator (Req *90 & LV70) – Use Two Handed weapons quick like daggers.
War Master (Req *150 & LV150) – Use in crowns to destroy bad guys with strong downward blows.

Power Attack

Charges over time.

Step 1 – Shoot strong explosion in 8 directions.
Step 2 – Attack 3 times with whirl wind action.
Step 3 – Explodes 3 times hurting surrounding opponents and has knock back.
Step 4 – Quick sword dancing style that damages surrounding foes.

Training Skills

2H Weapons 2H Weapon 2%-20% Raises strength when using two-handed weapons.
Greatsword Greatsword 3%-30% Damage up when using two-handed swords.
Warhammer Warhammer 3%-30% Damage up when using war hammers.
Battle Axe Battle Axe 3%-30% Damage up when using battle axes.
Blow of LIfe Blow of Life 2%-20% Achieve a multi-kill to replenish 30% of HP at certain rate.

Spirit Time Spirit Time 3%-30% Max MP up.
Life Time Life Time 6%-60% Max HP up.
Power Potion Power Potion 3%-30% Increases strength of potions.
Finish Blow Finish Blow 10%-100% Increase critical damage.

S.Skills

Blade of Anger Blade of Anger 30,000g** 55/12%/16s-118/30%/65s Increases critical rate %.

Shouting of Survival Shouting of Survival 30,000g*** 55/3%/16s-118/30%/65s Increase max HP for a short time.

Arch Mage

Has the strongest destruction magic, but must use the Concentration of Spell buff for added power. Uses ranged attacks which deal the lowest damage of all classes. Best suited for casting magic skills.

Action Style

Archmage – Entry level and unlocked right away.
Shaman (Req *23 & LV25) – Able to shoot fast magic bolts.
Sage (Req *90 & LV70) – Able to shoot slow magic bolts that deliver huge knock back.
Spell Master (Req *150 & LV150) – Can shoot huge magic bolts to attack multiple foes.

Power Attack

Charge by using skills.

Step 1 – Shoots bullets in 8 directions.
Step 2 – Strong magic bullets that damage enemies multiple times.
Step 3 – Drop 4 bullets that explode.
Step 4 – Summon a tornado that hurts enemies around you.

Training Skills

Staff Wand Staff Wand 2%-20% Raises strength when using staffs and wands.
Staff Staff 3%-30% Increases attack with staffs.
Wand Wand 3%-30% Increases attack with wands.
Blow of Magic Blow of Magic 3%-30% Achieve multi-kill and 20% of the MP will be recovered at a certain rate.

Armor Armor 5%-50% Physical defense up. Says it increases physical defense by a % when it’s actually just the number, +5% = +5 Armor.
Spirit Time Spirit Time 3%-30% Max MP up
Life-Time Life Time 6%-60% Max HP up
Recharge Recharge 1%-10% MP recovery up
Memorize Memorize 5%-50% Increases destruction magic strength when health falls below 40%. When you have a shield equip you can keep your health low without a big risk of dying.

S.Skill

Concentration of Spirit Concentration of Spirit 30,000g** 55/8%/16s-118/35%/65s Increases destruction magic damage for a short time.
Concentration of Mind Concentration of Mind 30,000g*** 55/3%/16s-118/30%/65s Increases max MP for a certain time period.

Skills

Same for all classes. These are what you’ll use most to attack monsters and are available for every class except S.Skills which are unique. Use skill points from leveling up (1 gained per level) to increase and cost 1 point each for every level with the max being 10. If your patient you can find all of these as drops without having to pay 7,500-30,000g for them in towns. Visit Roger in Graystone and pay 50,000g to reset and reallocate.

Destruction Magic

Fire-Bolt Fire Bolt 7,500g* 15/51%-42/150% Fires 3 flaming fire bolts and delivers fire elemental damage to enemies. Good for large groups as it will pass through them, but will usually only hit the enemies once so Ice Bolt is better for 1 on 1.
Inferno Inferno S.AOE 10,000g* 15/39%-42/120% Shoots a fire beam that will hurt enemies and consume MP every second while held down.
Meteor Meteor M.AOE 30,000g** 50/105%-95/330% Drops a meteor from the sky that damages with fire in an area. Cast right away when Blizzard, Land Collapse, and Thunder Bolt require charge time. No cast distance limit so you can blast enemies from across the screen and they wont attack you.
Flame-Nova Flame Nova L.AOE 30,000g*** 65/65%-137/200% Damages enemies with fire and has max cast distance. This and Lightning Nova are the strongest Destruction skills.
Flame-Barrier Flame Barrier 15000g** 55/69%/10s-118/150%/10s Hurts things with fire that get too close. Hold down for a few seconds to cast.

 

Ice-Bolt Ice Bolt 7,500g* 15/58%-42/175% Launches 3 freezing ice bolts that delivers water damage. The best bolt for causing the most pain to single targets as all projectiles will land a hit.
Ice-Lance Ice Lance S.AOE 10,000g* 15/39%-42/120% Shoots a water beam that hurts enemies and consume MP every second while held down.
Blizzard Blizzard M.AOE 30,000g** 55/62%-118/170% Ice storm damages with water to those in radius.
Frozen-Nova Frozen Nova L.AOE 30,000g*** 65/69%-137/150% Attacks with water and can be cast at max distance. Weakest of all skills of same tier making it obsolete for about 99% of fights.
Ice-Barrier Ice Barrier 15,000g** 55/69%/10s-118/150%/10s Hurts things with water that get too close. Hold down for a few seconds to cast.

 

Stone-Bolt Stone Bolt 7,500g* 15/69%-42/200% Hurls gigantic boulders to deliver earth damage.
Stone-Spear Stone Spear S.AOE 10,000g* 15/39%-42/120% Shoots an earth beam that hurts enemies and consume MP every second while held down.
Land-Collapse Land Collapse M.AOE 30,000g** 55/59%-118/230% Stone earth pillars hurt foes within radius.
Earthquake Earthquake L.AOE 30,000g*** 65/67%-137/175% Hurts with earth and can be cast at max distance. Weaker than fire and wind skills of same tier making it obsolete for about 99% of fights.
Stone-Barrier Stone Barrier 15,000g** 55/69%/10s-118/150%/10s Hurts things with earth that get too close. Hold down for a few seconds to cast.

 

Lightning-Bolt Lightning Bolt 7,500g* 15/58%-42/175% Large lightning the causes wind damage.
Chain-Lightning Chain Lightning S.AOE 10,000g* 15/39%-42/120% Shoots a wind beam that continually hurts enemies and consumes MP while held down.
Thunder-Bolt Thunder Bolt M.AOE 30,000g** 55/60%-118/195% Drops lightning from the sky to hurt foes in radius.
Lightning-Nova Lightning Nova L.AOE 30,000g*** 65/69%-137/200% Damages enemies with wind and has max cast distance. This and Flame Nova are the strongest Destruction skills.
Wind-Barrier Wind Barrier 15,000g** 55/69%/10s-118/150%/10s Hurts things with wind that get too close. Hold down for a few seconds to cast.

Trap Magic

Great for when you know there is a bunch of bad guys heading towards you or for taking down bosses early in the game. All traps damage over time. Hold till green then let go to place. None of them will ever land a critical hit which helps make them obsolete around level 80, though the slow de-buff from Glaciers Bondage can still be useful.

Booby Trap Booby Trap 7,500g* 65/80-137/440 Lays trap that continuously hurt enemies with physical damage.
Lava-Bondage Lava Bondage 20,000g** 65/80-137/440 Strongest trap that inflicts fire damage with a burning effect on enemies for extra damage.
Glaciers-Bondage Glaciers Bondage 20,000g*** 65/80-137/440 Water damage that slows enemies movement speed making it useful in late game.
Land-Bondage Land Bondage 20,000g*** 65/80-137/440 Says it stuns enemies, but it doesn’t seem to effect them at all besides regular earth damage.
Storm-Bondage Storm Bondage 20,000g*** 65/80-137/440 Only does wind damage without any special effect making it the least effective trap.

Buff Magic

Energy-Shield Energy Shield 20,000g*** 55/21%/30s-118/30%/130s Blocks a certain % of physical damage. Stacks well with other buffs. This is more valuable than Iron Skin later in the game as it will block much more damage.
Iron-Skin Iron Skin 20,000g* 55/11%/30s-118/20%/130s Increases your defense by a % based on what your wearing. The stronger the armor the more benefit you’ll get.
Reflect-Shield Reflect Shield 30,000*** 55/21%/30s-118/30%/130s Has a chance to void incoming damage and reflect it back to the attacker. Great for dodging almost 1/3 of attacks!
Respiration Respiration 7,500g* 55/30/16s-118/165/45s Increases HP recovery for a certain period of time.
Shield-Regeneration Shield Regeneration 15,000g*** 55/30/16s-118/165/65s This is a must as it recharges your shield quick. Max recover limit is much higher then max HP recovery limit making your shield better to invest in for survivability.
Weakness-Domain Weakness Domain 7,5000g* 55/21%/16s-118/30%/16s Reduced physical attack power of surrounding enemies.
Anti-Force-Domain Anti-Force Domain 10,000g** 55/21%/16s-118/30%/16s Reduces the physical defense of surrounding enemies. Only works with weapon attacks.
Fuzzy-Domain Fuzzy Domain 10,000g* 55/51%-118/60% Drops the power of curse from the sky to destroy the shield of enemies at the drop point.
Flame-Shower Flame Shower 7,500g*** 55/51%/16s-118/60%/16s Inflicts a burning statues on surrounding foes that hurts over time.
Ice-Bound Ice Bound 7,500g*** 55/51%/16s-118/60%/16s Summons crystals of ice that slow opponents. Helps get ride of things chasing you.

    Is mp recovery capped at 50? I noticed my mp recovery won’t go past 50 so I was wondering if its really capped at 50 for all levels.. The same goes for resistances that won’t get past 80.. If mp recovery and resistance has a cap, what is the cap of hp recovery? Wanted to know to not waste slots for hp/mp recovery runes.. If possible, please stat all caps of the game.. Also why is trap magic being obsolete in 80+ levels? My lvl 35 shaman is able to finish Carius Arena (well low score though, about 110k) using just the glaciers bondage w/ leonard armor, to sum it up, a level 17 glaciers bondage w/ 720 dps at same lvl 10 mana cost.. I just stacked it upped and wait for the kill (I used it too in the shadow maker orc flag event quest w/ help of goddes tears about 2 per try — tries due to failing getting the flag).. Hope for a reply, thanks~

    I find traps really useless at the point around 50+ lv, where you can find barrier and nova magic. For long range fail-safe, use fire/lightning nova, while for super dps close range, I use stack my barrier up and heads on with the mobs. But barrier stacks only work if you have decent physical and magical resistance, along with all the defensive buffs turned on. I am using dual blade class, with some random level daggers with +1/+2 to Destruction magic, and I slotted them with spirit runes. The barrier stack work like this, first stack all defensive buffs, spam physical attack to steal mp, and stack barriers while hit stealing more mp. Worked ideally on elite/boss with purple shield that negate magic attacks unless destroyed.
